Payment Options

Thanks for clicking through to this page. I will now list the various payment options available to you. If I don’t explain it very clearly, just email me with any questions at markgoodwinpianos@gmail.com and I’ll be happy to reply in full detail.

BANK TRANSFER: (most people use this method)
This method normally takes 1 or 2 days these days unless you are paying from a Building Society in which case it is probably longer. I bank with Barclays and if you want to use this method just let me know and I’ll send you the instructions/details.

CHEQUE
Cheques can be made payable to “Mark Goodwin Pianos Ltd” and sent to 723 Rochdale Rd, Royton, Oldham, Lancs. OL2 5UT.

CREDIT OR DEBIT CARD:
I can accept a credit or debit card via a secure online payment system. The downside is that I need to ask you to pay a 2.9% processing fee for this. Let me know if you want to use this method and I’ll send you the instructions. I recommend that you contact your bank before attempting payment so that they know to expect a large payment and that it isn’t fraudulent.

DEPOSIT CASH AT LOCAL BARCLAY’S BRANCH
You can walk into any Barclay’s bank, give them cash along with my account details and they will credit my account straight away. If you want to use this method just let me know and I’ll send you the instructions/details.

0% FINANCEMONTHLY PAYMENTS
Here is some information about how this method works.

  • The maximum amount is £2000 (if the piano is more expensive than £2000 then you simply have to pay the balance using any of the above payment methods)
  • A deposit of 10% of the amount must be paid up front
  • There is a 95% success rate for people applying for this finance
  • I need to take a few bits of info from you and then I will post a form for you to sign & return. I then just make a quick phonecall and I get a decision within 2 minutes.
  • The amount is then paid off in ten equal monthly payments

Example 1:
You want to buy a piano for £2000. You pay a £200 desposit and then pay off the remaining £1800 in nine equal monthly payments of £200.

Example 2:
You want to buy a piano for £3000. You apply for the maximum loan amount of £2000 and pay a deposit of £1000 by cheque or bank transfer. The £2000 is then paid off with nine equal monthly payments of £222.22

NEED FOR FINANCE FOR MORE THAN £2000 OR FOR LONGER THAN 10 MONTHS?

  • The finance is supplied by the Arts Council of Great Britain and is designed to give people the means to enjoy music in their home who otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford to buy a nice musical instrument.
  • The Arts Council only give 0% finance for amounts paid off over 10 months. If you want to pay the amount off over a longer period, I can arrange that too, but there would be a bit of interest to pay
  • The Arts Council cap their loan amount at £2000. If you require a larger amount just let me know, I can arrange finance for much bigger amounts but there would be a bit of interest to pay
