Mark’s summary of this instrument

“Despite some cabinet wear & tear, this piano has a fabulous tone and a really nice action. It is the sought after “green frame” model of Broadwood and I can recommend this piano for use as a brilliant starter piano that is capable of taking you all the way to grades 7 and 8”

When my piano tuner first say this piano his eyes lit up and he said “do you know what you’ve got here?”. I replied that I didn’t know and he excitedly told me that it was one of the “green framed” Broadwood uprights. I had never heard of such a thing but David informed me that Broadwood uprights with the green frame are highly regarded pianos. David is very passionate about his pianos so I’ve took his word on that.

This particular Broadwood has a really nice action and tone quality and if you look at the photos I’ve made you will see that the insides are in fabulous condition and it looks to have been restored at some point in the last 10 years or so.

I would say the only weak point of this piano aside from the occasional scratch and scrape to the cabinet is that the tone in the bass region is softer and more mellow compared with the centre and treble regions of the keyboard. However, you might view this as a blessing in disguise because a strong, crisp bass is the kind of sound that creeps through your neighbours walls and causes upset. So this piano might actually be perfect if you need to wary of disturbing your next door neighbours.

Feel free to get in touch below to arrange a viewing or feel free to order it via email as many of my customers do these days. Ideally, you should view, but you don’t have to. Let me know where you live and I’ll give you a quote for delivery.
