With a price this low you already know that you are not going to get a very good piano if you buy this. But I took it in part exchange from a lady who had been happily using it for years until she decided to upgrade to a B.Squire that I had in stock a few weeks ago.

All of the keys work and none are chipped or cracked. So it will be fine for someone who is taking their first steps and they don’t mind getting a very basic piano. The tone is very nice actually, not harsh and not too muffled or anything. The one main problem that I’ve found is that the majority of the notes, when played, produce a “click” sound which is coming from within the action. Me and David (piano technician) have inspected it and we think the clicking happens due to a lack of felt that should be placed between 2 moving parts so that when they touch, you can’t hear them.

So if you decide that the clicking bothers you then you will either have to pay a piano technician to fix it or you will have to be prepared to have a go yourself. If you don’t think the clicking noise will bother you, then it’s all well and good :)

Please refer to the photos below for the cabinet condition. There are some scratches, knocks, scrapes and dents that you should be aware of. I think the photos do a good job of showing those to you.

Finally, there seems to have been a history of some mild moth-bites to some of the felts. They don’t seem to have got very far as most of the hammers are untouched, but you should be aware of that before purchase.

It goes without saying that this piano comes with no guarantee whatsoever. You are buying a very poor condition piano that requires some mechanical attention. It is fully working with a nice tone but requires attention. So do not expect too much.
