Mark’s summary of this instrument
“Pianos don’t come much smaller than this and they usually get snapped up very fast. So if you need a smaller than normal piano then I recommend you give this one some consideration”>
Kemble are the only British piano manufacturer still in operation (correct me if I’m wrong) and so I’m very pleased to be have one of their pianos in stock. The main feature of this piano is its dinky size. It is perfect for small rooms or even to be taken upstairs.
As with many pianos of this size, the sound is also not too loud which makes it great for not upsetting the neighbours. It has a pretty, mellow tone. It does not sound overly bright or tinny like many cheap new pianos do. So if that kind of tone suits you and you are slightly short on space then this could be a good option for you.
I expect this piano to be able to take a student through most of their grades and you might want to consider upgrading once you reach about grade 7 or 8 because at that stage you might start running out of keys. I think I’m correct in saying that the majority for grade 1-6 pieces will not use the extra keys that have been left off this piano.
This piano is also perfect for someone who used to play and has now grown up and just wants to play for their own enjoyment rather than working through the grades. This piano would be fine for that in my opinion.
