Please see below for the photos and comments and if you have any questions, please do ask. The action feels very nice on this piano – nice and free and light making it very enjoyable to play. The tone is of a very high quality too which is due in part to the excellent condition of the hammers and the relatively new strings.
This piano was restored to a high standard several years ago (by the previous owner) and so it is in excellent musical and physical condition. The veneer is less than perfect in places, especially on the main large lid of the piano. It isn’t that bad but it is worth mentioning as an imperfection.
This Bechstein still has its original Bechstein legs, lyre and we think the music desk is probably original, but we aren’t 100% sure about that.
In short, its a high quality piano in very good condition for at least half the price you could expect to pay elsewhere.
