Well I’m very pleased to say that after a 6 year wait we finally have another celesta in stock.

The instrument

This one is branded Boosey & Co of Regent Street, London and has 4 octaves.

The history

I don’t know much but the previous owner told me that “it has been loaned out for various concerts where a celesta has been required.”

The condition

Watch the video below and you will see that although it is in working condition you will need to regulate the action and possibly perform other internal reconditioning work to get it back to it’s best. Nothing appears to be broken, it just needs regulation and perhaps some replacement felt in places.
