“With a fairly unique cabinet design, you might think this piano is all about the way it looks, but after sitting and playing this piano for a few minutes I quickly realised that it is indeed a very high quality piano. I found it to be easy to play because the action was perfectly even across the whole keyboard and wasn’t too stiff or too light, it is very enjoyable to play. The tone is nice and lively, leaning towards the brighter end of the scale (but not excessively so). This piano should probably be priced at around £2200 but I got a good deal on it so I can afford to pass that saving onto the next proud owner. Can you see this piano in your living room? Comments:
The previous owner of this piano is a jazz musician and he only buys good pianos (so he tells me). He only sold it to me because he is emmigrating to Australia and can’t take it with him (but he says he wants it back when he returns – tough luck!). It has a sostenuto pedal which lets you play sustain and staccato at the same time (was that a good explanation?!) and this feature is only found on higher quality pianos.
Baldwin are a very famous, highly regarding piano manufacturer from the USA.
