How To Buy

Hello there. Thank You for considering purchasing from me. This page is here to answer a few commonly asked questions regarding the buying / delivery process.

Can I Visit Your Pianos?
Yes, please visit the Contact Us page for more details.

What Payment Methods are Accepted?
I accept a variety of payment methods. Most customers pay by cheque (and this is preferred). I then arrange a suitable delivery day/time whilst waiting for the cheque to clear. Credit/Debit card payment can be accepted but you must add 3% to the total price if paying this way to cover the extra costs involved.

Can I Pay A Deposit / Reserve a Piano?
Please visit the Reservations page for full details on how to reserve a piano.

How Long Does Delivery Take?
We can typically deliver your piano within a week of receiving your cleared payment. This means if you are able to come to our showroom and pay with cash then you can probably have your piano within 7 days. Cheque payments must clear into our bank before delivery can be carried out. In many instances we can deliver your piano within a couple of days.

Do Your Pianos Carry a Guarantee?
Our modern pianos such as Yamaha and Kawai come with a 2 year warranty to cover various mechanical breakages (strings, hammers, for example). Problems caused by environmental conditions in the new owner’s house are not covered – placing a piano too near a window or directly next to a radiator etc. can affect tuning stability and sometimes cause “sticky notes”. Our warranty doesn’t cover such things but if a string or a hammer should snap I’ll come to your aid.

Our lower-priced uprights (under £1000) and our various types of older grand pianos (Bechstein etc.) do not carry warranties of any kind. They are sold “as seen” but in an honest manner – we won’t act dishonestly and will try and point out any problems with the piano before the sale.
