Returns Policy

Many customers have very little knowledge of pianos before they start their shopping and so there is a lot of trust involved. I am committed to not abusing the trust that my customers but I would still like to give you the following 3 pieces of advice which will help prevent you making any expensive mistakes.

  1. Where possible, visit the piano in person to avoid any nasty surprises.
  2. Ask your piano tuner to accompany you to the piano shop. They may charge for this service.
  3. If you like a particular piano, play it for at least 30 minutes so that any faults will show themselves. A quick 2 minute test is not enough time. Even if you can’t play piano at all, just sit down at play the notes over and over. Listen out for strange noises and watch out for some keys not behaving the same way as other keys.

My returns policy is as follows.
By law, goods purchased over the internet qualify for a cooling off period under the terms laid out in the The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 . The cooling off period starts from the day that you received the item and lasts for 7 days during which period you must notify me in writing by email or post about your intention to cancel your contract. If you wish to return the item, it must be done at your own cost and by one of my approved delivery firms (ask me for the list). You will then receive a full refund including the original delivery charge within 30 days.

If the item arrives and is not fit for purpose or is not the correct serial number or model or is otherwise not how it was described to you then you are also entitled to a full refund under the terms of the above document.

If you visit the item in person before making a purchase then you are deemed to have inspected the item and been satisfied with it and as such you will then be making a “sold as seen” or “sold as inspected” purchase and in such cases I’m afraid returns, exchanges or refunds are not permitted.
